Steve Aoki + Duran Duran

So a month or so ago I got invited to some Trident party with Steve Aoki DJing and I was like, "Yea, I could see myself going to that I suppose." I mean usually I feel too old to go out and have fun and do fun things. Like I prefer to sit at home and pet my cat and eat macaroni and cheese in the dark. But it's like, "I like Trident, everyone at this party is bound to have fabulous breath, might as well check it out, right?"

And then somebody's all, "Psst! Psst! I heard Duran Duran are gonna be playing 'Hungry Like the Wolf.'" And obviously that seals the deal, right? Like yea, I'm not missing any opportunity to see Duran Duran. Do I look like an idiot? Please. So excited. It's gonna be the best day of my life. Other than the two nights that I'm going to see Morrissey in October and the first time I see Taylor Swift live (TBD) and the day that T. and I get married (TBD) and the day that Meredith and Greg the Cat finally become best friends (TBD) and etc. Point is, it's gonna be awesome.

And then I couldn't go because I ended up booking some gig and I was like, "Yea, I gotta get this money and buy my cat some organic cat food."

Crystal Castles

So one time I was at Sway for Morrissey Night or Smiths night or Sunday night or whatever you wanna call it and Team Crystal Castles walked in and I was all, "OMG, I love you Alice!" but I didn't actually say anything, instead I just sat in a corner and drank Jameson until I was fully tanked, then I took a cab home without so much as giving Alice a high five even though she's the love of my life, speaking of the love of my life, Taylor Swift is the love of my life and I promise I'll resume T. Swift fan fiction-ing if I ever write another post. Promise. Swear.

Price + Qazar + Flosstradamus + Baauer

So DJ Price is really good at a lot of things. DJing. Running a clothing brand. Etc. I bought one of dude's jackets a year or two ago. Pretty sure I haven't washed it once. Pretty sure I've worn it every single non-summer day since it arrived. Grimy, right? But that's on me, not him. Anyways. Now you can add production to the list. Price's first single just dropped on iTunes. Vocals from Qazar, production by Price, euphoria for days: it's quite the debut. Stream it below, buy it here.

Dalton + Ani Quinn

So this past Friday I was lucky enough to open for Dalton, one of NYC's premier club DJs. The kind of dude that DJs at spots all over the country regularly. (Whereas I'm hype when I get any out-of-town gig, even if "out-of-town" means driving myself to Pocono in a rental car without air conditioning to DJ at the finish line of some marathon.) Anyways, it was particularly tite since Dalton's both a great DJ and an upcoming producer. Download and watch the video for "Shake It" and preview "Uzi" (produced with Ani Quinn) below.

Eventually Yung Swift and I are gonna have to have the very serious conversation where I'm like, "Ayo Taylor, I wanna have kittens." And she may be all, "But dude, I can't raise a kitten. I'm nonstop touring!" And I'll be like, "Err, I can be a stay-at-home dad. Duh?" And she's all, "Seriously though, bro? Do we really want three cats running around the crib meowing and purring and shedding and scratching and whining?" And I'm like, "Is that even a question?" And she's all, "Yea, true, my bad. Let's raise a kitten." Tite.
