I learned to DJ in Sydney. On CDJs. So one day I opened for Fashen back in the U.S. of A. And I'm all, "ZOMG, how craze! He's, like, my favorite!" So I get to the venue and I'm all, "Err, where my CDJs at?" And they're all, "Um, CD-Whats?" So that was the first time I used turntables. And it was wild embarrassing because. Well. Fashen's kind of a beast. And I was. Well. Kind of abysmal. So then we go to the after-party, right? And we both DJ there, OK? And he's got 1200s and I've got Pioneer CDJ 1000s. So everyone's happy. And you know what? It was still kinda embarrassing. Because. Well. He's Fashen and I'm just some nerd with wobbly glasses, an ugly blog, and a scented candle addiction.

So anyways the moral of the story is that Fashen is like the nicest dude ever and I had a great time hanging out with him that one time four or so years ago and oh did I forget to mention that this here single of his is like super tite? (Turbz and Free Magic are also really nice and both of their mixes are really good and I dunno Foamo but this here song is neat-o mosquito.)

Yesterday was the coldest day of the winter in NYC, right? Right. So can someone please explain to me why I chose yesterday of all days to go to the Central Park Zoo? It's big and sexy and this and that and the other and whatever. I guess this would be considered progressive house? Or vocal house? How am I supposed to categorize this tune? This new Clubfeet single is on some serious seriousness. For one, "Last Words" is fabulous all on its own. Then came the remixes. The RAC tune is on that fun indie dance tip. And it's great. So I was lucky enough to meet Marina a few weeks ago, and oh my goodness. Did everyone else already know that she's the most beautiful girl in the flippin' world? Am I super behind on this? Because I knew she was pretty. Beautiful, even. But little did I know that she was literally the most attractive young woman in the gosh darned galaxy. I was absolutely flabbergasted. Not that it takes much to make me flabbergasted, but still.

I overheard a conversation about K-pop earlier today, so I decided to revisit some of my favorite Girls' Generation tracks. (OK. Obviously this happened on the internet. So when I say "overheard a conversation" I actually mean "read an email chain.") So to me, it had to be either "Oh!" or "Gee." And you know what? "Gee" it is. On the strength of the video alone.

So then a friend of mine started yapping at me about J-pop. (Obviously online too. So by "yapping at me" I mean "posting on my Facebook wall.") Specifically, Perfume. And I mean. Yo. This song is incredible. I've played it at least twelve times in the past hour. Literally not exaggerating, not even one bit. So good.

Wow. So I started writing this blog post. And at the time I wasn't entirely sure whether or not I was feeling the new Rihanna single produced by Calvin Harris. I was writing about some other song. Whatever. I don't even remember what it was. Because I was listening to "We Found Love" while I wrote. I have no blogging integrity, deal with it.

So yea. Anyways. By the time I was done writing that post, I'd listened to this here tune four or so times in a row. And I realized that I'm obsessed with it. OMGeez. So I wrote about it instead. Even my cat's fist-pumping, and he can only be bothered to be awake for like two hours per (see: purr) day. So for him to exert the energy necessary to stand on his hind legs and fist-pump? Yea, we've got a banger on our hands (see: paws).
